This has been thought about by multiple players before and I believe it was brought up by someone during the first town hall meeting as well. There could be, in addition to extended vaults during reset, a vault where ONLY crate items could go in (renamed, enchanted, etc, or not). This could be an easier way to allow people like myself, JohnJohnCinnabon, Steve_o_Jr, and many others to keep their large stashes of valuable, rare, and expensive items
I like this idea, i have a ton of extra stuff that i wouldnt be able to bring over, also maybe something for event items such as the armor and custom named items like the cursed jerry soul.
idk how big devs would decide it to be. a lot of people have hundreds of collection items… like for example, jojo has 63 shulkers full, or almost full, of items. plus he has 3 double chests there for overflow i think. we have a lot of items across the server lol
I also keep a ton of valuables too, this would be useful to keep my things in there, cause I have too many
Personally I would like to see the PV's stay the same or even be made smaller, the thing that makes a reset fun is that everything is fresh and new, in my opinion having tons of OP tools that players can also later sell for money makes the reset less exciting meaning people are more likely to quit earlier on. Thats just how i feel about it tho
i do see how it could be op, but people that would probably use this function would primarily be collectors. maybe it could be a requestable type option people could get for x amount of crate items, or something like that
It would be a nice idea all i have for input is that, as others said, it wouldn't give you a "clean start". I would personally make it allowable for a certain amount of enchanted items, some type of limit. But then again I wouldn't see much of a use for PV's if it isnt tools.
From discussions the different team/s have had, I don't believe we'll consider this suggestion simply because of how the player vault for resets will go forward. To my knowledge, the new player vaults will depend mostly on crate items anyway to prevent gameplay benefits. We'll go over this during the next reset.
