Squids seem to be a critically endangered species on the server. I have not seen a single naturally spawned squid since I joined the reset. I also tried using spawners several times, with the right conditions (space, Y coords, etc) and nothing spawns. It makes the animation that is used when a spawner spawns something, but nothing appears. The only squids I've been able to get have been directly from eggs.

Someone guessed that it might be a plugin problem. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've tried using squid spawners in single players with the exact same conditions I used in the server, and it worked.

Squid spawn below sea lvl which is around 60. if its above that in the over world it will not work.

Check the Y-coordinate again; I'm pretty sure it has to be between 45 and 63 or something like that.

Sorry, but my grinder was working, but now it's not, the spawner is at y-58, but what Kiri just posted explains why, so I will be reworking my grinder, not a big deal, thanks Kiri.

Big thanks to DanTDM19 who came to my rescue and showed me the error of my ways with this problem and fixed my squid grinder.
