It has come to me as an idea, that instead of just limited time events, and other people spending money. There should be a way for players to get their hands on the limited crate keys, without anyone spending money. These options came to me from my ideas and some from other users in the discord server, those options being: Obtainable through renewable missions/achievements, obtainable with enough in-game cash/points, and obtainable by catching mythical fish. I feel that this could be a way to keep players entertained while playing on the great server that is Peaceful Farms and keep players coming back to play for more chances at better items. Where the main purpose of the crates is to support the server from the cash spent by the wealthier players and to use that cash to keep it running for years to come. Though it would be a much more useful item if the keys were obtainable without needing real-life cash, of which they might not have to spare.
Agreed, maybe a multiple day streak on daily missions for a crate key reward would make missions worth doing. But keep in mind that selling keys to players is one of the servers biggest income, chances of them giving keys as a reward are slim.
i think along with what you said, giving players more keys would just lead to further decrease in value of crate items which is already a big enough problem,
