I've been on my fair share of servers since playing Minecraft in its beta stages. A lot of servers I see are doing some really unique things with community engagement. Such as vote parties where if everyone votes they come together to .. demolish .. a pinata (most commonly used) to earn a key, money, etc (differs per server). Some do tournaments of such, not just fishing. They will host like.. lets say a bingo or connect 4 tournaments where players sign up for the limited number of brackets and then at the end, whoever wins gets a prize of sorts. Build competitions? (I haven't been here entirely too long so I for one wouldn't be sure if these kinds of things happen) These are just small community engagement ideas. Overall the server in its entirety seems to have a close community just ideas
Build comps have happened in the past but take a lot of organizing, I like the idea of vote parties, a server I played did a thing where if we hit 500 votes everyone got a bunch of keys, it was really good incentive to vote, i'd like to see that! I think the games like connect 4 would be fun, but they could totally be run by players, the staff wouldn't need to do that, it's a lot easier if they do though haha
Vote parties are already being considered. Build competitions we like to set up once we have time. We usually do unique events once ina while like the previous skin competition we just done.
