Im not exactly sure how this would be done but Ive seen it happen. It's basically a discord channel that's connected to the server so players who cant get online can type in discord and it will be seen on server, and the server can also reply to them etc. I feel like this could be useful to people who dont have minechat or cant access the server just so they could talk to their friends!
This is a great idea except that this would cause millions of notifications, I know that you can mute the sever but that wouldnt stop the little +999 messages every second. this would also cause lag on the users computer while using double tabs because if they have a computer that was before 2014 (at least on Macs) the notifications still pop up even if its muted which will eat your computers FPS) thats what I have and I cannot have double tabs due to the lag.. There is also other apps on the google play store like minechat that are compatible with IOS and Google phones If there is anyway to fix this though or have another less laggy option I would love to see this
This would cause tons and tons of chaotic behaviour and if we were to do this, rules would need to be adjusted as-well as many other things. We have ideas of making it possible for staff to have the ability to do this for helping and moderating aspects but nothing as of right now.
It's called DiscordSRV. You can have it so only certain roles can use it and have a separate channel from global to contain the messages.
I used to have this on a server before, never noticed any form of clutter personally. So long as it's dedicated to an individual channel on the discord (ex. Minecraft Chat) so the users can turn off the notifications for it. Really great suggestion!!
