I would love it if we could make it possible to Farm Clay. They are not only used for Bricks but also to make base Terracotta, this would make sense since Mesa Biomes are limited from what i have seen and they get claimed fast.
I know i just dont wanna make it to easy on myself ya know. the whole aspect of the server is farming not buying stuff to cop out. Also in the beginning stages of the server ( after reset ) you dont have the money to buy it anyway.
Normally you find clay in very small patches in rivers and such and its quite literally eating hours to even get a decent amount to use. So my ideas for possible farming entail either where you mix coarse dirt with water to get clay or we could make it so that you place a block in a pond of your own making or a natural one and let it spread ( similar to mycelium ).
We could possibly make different crafting recipes for the first idea; however, the second idea would need a lot more attention for us to implement.
Whatever idea works best for you guys is fine. It would just be great to have the option at all to get clay by other means then random patches. example i was grinding for over 2 hours and managed just about 1 shulker full of the stuff which is nothing in terms of bricks or terracotta value.
You could also maybe add bits of clay to the rivers in spawn and if it wasn't too hard, have the ability for the spots to drop clay when broken kinda like how we can farm crops at spawn?
Wont be how it'll work I'm afraid. To have this kind of feature, it'll require more resources and time then you think.
