So I was thinking there should be more content on composting given that this is a farming server, but I figured it might alter various delicate processes like value of certain items, create an imbalance, or simply go unappreciated. To handle this, I propose the following addition be given it's own warp, similar to the end. The overall idea is to offer an area that players can "restore" using compost and various other materials. It would teach about the various forms of composting (hot vs cold, vermi, Hugelkultur etc) in addition to rotational grazing, seeding using native plants and other sustainable practices. The player would warp in and head out into the world where they would join up with a NPC (one NPC per practice) to complete some quests to teach them how to use the materials before being given a self expanding plot of land to work with. They would nurture a certain area (say a 9x9) using the materials harvested in the overworld or obtained from quests, and would restore it to a certain percentage. From there, it would need a "maintenance" amount of materials unless the player wanted to have to come back to ensure it stays in the "green zone". Once the land reaches a certain size, they could switch to another NPC in order to eventually be implementing all the practices in order to create a self sustaining plot of land. The player could expand the restored land and use it for farming or growing plants/trees in exchange for prizes and seeing maybe "rare" native animals that have a percent chance of arriving if certain conditions are met. They could also receive compost that they can use in the overworld that has a boost assigned to it (but maybe its kind of hard to get, or isn't offered in bulk). From there, the goal is to work with other players to restore more and more land (maybe there can be resistance via overworld input like furnaces, lava etc), complete a bestiary and I'm not sure what the end stage would be (maybe it's "safe" for a bit but then gets attacked occasionally by pollutants and needs restoring). Of course, this would probably be a huge project so it would just be a basic model at first, but I figured this would kinda add to the experience.
