I was recently looking for information on how the new crop hopper works, but all I could find was one line in the change log on discord: Well, I've still got some questions: How does one obtain a crop hopper? How much does it cost? Does it take resources? Points? Money? Can it be chained with normal hoppers? What is its item transfer rate? If the item transfer rate is too slow for my needs, can I put multiple crop hoppers in the same chunk? Or do the items only go into one crop hopper per chunk? How big is the inventory of a crop hopper? How much can it hold? Does a sell shard work in a crop hopper? If items fall on top of a crop hopper, do they get sucked in like a normal hopper? Currently the only way for me to get my questions answered is to go onto the server and interrogate some poor staff member with this slew of questions. I feel bad when I do something like that, though, since I'm sure staff get similar questions over and over. I've also noticed some other common questions, such as: What is the load distance on the server? What is the render distance? How fast do normal hoppers transfer items? Why doesn't TNT work in my claim? Why won't my pistons work when there's not a block in front of them? Why won't my pistons work outside of a claim? Where will hostile mobs spawn? How do you get auto-replant? Why does flowing water stop at the edge of my claim? My idea is to make a FAQ for the server that would have answers to all these questions that aren't included in the tutorial. There could also be a system where I could post a reply with a question if I can't find what I'm looking for in the FAQ, and then staff could answer it and add it to the FAQ page so it would be there for future users. This could be done by simply creating a sticky thread here on the forums, or creating a pinned post with its own channel for reply messages on discord. If players and staff are interested, I would be happy to start the thread and update it with information from the replies, as long as staff members are willing to watch it and answer the questions, since there are some questions I can't answer. I like the idea of a fan and its actually been an idea i've been looking to implement for a long time. This will still be a thing but we'd mostly want to bring a whole project with it i.e like a PF Wiki. We'll see how things plan out
I'll answer a few for you! Craft it using the recipe found in /gbm. (1 chest, 2 comp iron, 1 hopper, 1 crafting tool) I'll test this out later and try!
